This cabinet plate glowing with gilt was made by the Gloria Fine Porcelain Manufactory, founded in 1913 and still in business in Bayreuth, a town in Bavaria in Germany. Gloria is famous for their use of the finest materials to make their porcelains.
Not only is the scalloped, embossed rim heavily gilded, there is a pretty lacy design in gold that encircles the plate below the rim. In the center is a transfer of a romantic painting of a courting couple by J. C. van Hunnik, a noted Dutch artist born in Rotterdam in 1925. His signature is in green script lower right below the lady's shoe. The printed underglaze mark on the reverse is that of a black urn topped with a gold crown; it reads "GLORIA FINE PORCELAIN Bavaria Handwork Bayreuth and BRILLIANT GOLD. This mark was put into use in 1947.

This footed plate measures 10 inches in diameter, stands 1 1/2 inches high and weighs 1 1/4 pounds (in case you want to hang this as a wall plate), There are no cracks, chips, crazing and very minimal edge wear to the gilt. The pure white porcelain is of excellent quality and the plate will be a lovely display piece for yourself or for a gift.

There is a very affecting story of the history of GLORIA porcelain on their site:
